Welcome Red Raiders!

Fraternities and Sororities are a fundamental part of Texas Tech University. Membership in a Greek organization can be one of the most significant experiences for a college student, allowing students to make an impact on the Lubbock and Texas Tech Community. We hope you will consider making a fraternity or sorority a part of your “Red Raider Experience”. Take a few minutes and browse our website to learn about the opportunities Fraternity and Sorority Life has to offer.

Fraternity and Sorority Life at Texas Tech University began in 1954 when the first fraternity and sorority chapters were established. Fifty nine years and thousands of members later, the Fraternity and Sorority community is thriving, currently offering 52 fraternities and sororities and represents 17 percent of the undergraduate student population. Fraternity and sorority members are committed to living their values by focusing on their academics, developing, strengthening their leadership skills and volunteering time in the community.

Each respective council has their own way of recruiting prospective members. Use the links above to find out about the recruitment and intake details organized by each council. Unsure which council is right for you? Review each council’s recruitment website or contact the Fraternity and Sorority Life staff for additional assistance.
